Artist Statement

From the complexity of a nautilus shell to the grace of the heron, it is not possible to improve on the beauty of nature. So I work to capture some essence of what touches me and hope that others will find a connection there. My childhood growing up by the sea shore and a lifelong fascination with and study of the creative arts provide the inspiration. The fine texture of porcelain and the fluid quality of soda glazing has kept me creating in clay for years. I am enchanted with the magic in the process.
